Iran’s imperious Mahram basketball team beat Al Rayyan of Qatar and claimed its second successive Asian title in the 21st FIBA Asia Champions Cup in Doha on Sunday.

Mahram defeated Al Rayyan 93-73 at the Al Gharafa Stadium.
“We played exactly according to our plan,” said Mahram coach Mostafa Hashemi.
Mahram had previously lost to Al Rayyan 78-72 in the preliminary round.
“It’s not like we were looking for revenge, but I guess the memory of that defeat was always in our heads,” Samad Nikkhah said.
Mahram proceeded to The FIBA World Club Championship which will be held in the Chinese cities of Chengdu and Nanjing in October with eight teams participating.
A total of 10 Asian teams took part in the Doha tournament
